Welcome to the South Pole!  This is an island made of
a chunk of ice located at the southernmost point of the
Realm of Magic.  Travellers can find their way here through
the boat services, but they will be met with a land that is
hardly a tourist attraction.  Explorers will be met only by
a pack of polar bears, though it is rumoured that the polar
bears know the way to access the gnomish outpost deep within
the island.  While the polar bears may provide a challenge up
until the lowbie levels, it is more difficult to orient 
oneself through the windy, snowy conditions and explorers may
find it easy to lose their way. 

Understanding the map:

There are 12 Snow-Filled Lands rooms in the south pole area

The Rooms are numbered starting with 1 based on the quickest
path to the Gnome Outpost from the dock.  Following from SL1 
to SL7 will lead directly there.  The other rooms from 8 to 12 
will loop back to SL1 and the dock for those who need to sail 
or swim to leave the island.  Of course, there are numerous
paths on and off the island, and to or from the gnome outpost.
You are welcome to explore any and all of them.

Pathways are defined as follows:

Solid links between rooms (- or |) indicate a two way path.
Arrow links between rooms (V,>,^ or <) indicate a one way path.

The main layout of the rooms (my interpretation of them, at 
least) is designated with an *.  For navigation purposes, all 
exits will lead you to the instance of the room that is marked 
with *
