Features
A quick overview of what the Realm of Magic offers. Inside the game, features and help features give a similar list.
The game #
- A huge world: more than 25,000 rooms in over 300 zones, spread across nine continents and regions - see The World.
- Nine player races and five classes, with subclassing into other classes once you have mastered your own - see Races and Classes.
- Levels without a ceiling: 40 levels, then "staymortal" levels beyond; from level 101 you are a Mortal Archmaster.
- Equipment is saved when you rent at an inn or quit in your own home.
- Newbie-friendly: new characters start in Entrancity, an academy for newcomers, and there is a newbie channel (
nsay) for questions. - Roleplay is encouraged, but not enforced.
- One character at a time - playing several characters at once is not allowed (see the Policy).
- Limited player killing: fights between players happen in the arena, between players who have signed the book of blood, or under the mortal law with its elected judges - see Fighting.
- No character approval needed to start playing.
Things to do #
- Over 60 built-in solo quests, plus the random quest engine, which hands out assignments to suit your level - alone or as a group.
